Ladyfly? This is news!
Um, ex-SQUEEZE me? What is this? It says “Mew” which sounds a lot like “meow” and there’s a butterfly on it?!
It started here first!
Here is some fan art I found on the internet.
I think this is what they call “artsy.” I prefer my designs. What about you guys?
This is a butterbull.
Because in this economic climate, we could sure use some butterbull market around here!
I like the rope he’s wearing!
This is a nautifly.*
Continuing our Spoooooky Sea theme, this nautifly floats and flies through the water like a fairy!
*For a very special friend.
This is a horsefly.
Inspired by my Natural Happening (Sheila, specifically). While being vaulted off of the creature I began to think, “Maybe she’s just trying to fly…”
Friends and followers,
I will take this time to apologize dearly for halting activity on Catbutterfly. You see, what happened was I was riding a horse and the horse became very upset. It is still not understood why. The leader on the retreat I was on mentioned something about the “Devil vapors” and that possibly Sheila (the horse) did not like my Sunflowers perfume. She has sinus problems. I was knocked off of it wildly where I was then trampled by two of the horses behind mine on the trail.
I was confined to a hospital bed for two weeks and have spent the past two weeks in rehabilitation. I’m coming along quite nicely. I’ve taken this time to catch up on General Hospital and I’ve read a lot of John Grisham. And last week, I attended a real estate seminar. They said Donald Trump was going to be there and being a big fan of his work, I was disappointed when he didn’t show. It cost $89.99.
So it is with an open heart and bandaged left leg that I reunite you with Catbutterfly. I’ve had much time to reflect over the past weeks on the direction of not only my life, but this website. God spoke to me that day, the day of the “Natural Happening,” as I call it, and while I was out cold I could hear through the whistling of the winds that He wants me to keep going, to keep making my art.
I accept His challenge.
I was in the divine city of Las Vegas, Nevada and happened upon a tattoo parlor, I think they’re called. And what did I behold but a catbutterfly, just like the fateful day I saw my first catbutterfly! And it’s a tigerfly, nonetheless!
I would get this tattoo (if I were so naughty!) because I just adore that the tigerfly is in his natural element. His striking eyes are peaking out from behind the leaves as if to say, “Don’t be fooled. I am soft yet mighty.”
This is a kangafly.
The day has come! Long ago I introduced the koalafly upon the thought of my dear friend traveling “down under.” Today, the kangafly (a kangaroo - with joey! - combined with the fancy butterfly) in honor of my dear friends’ departures. Safe travels and the best of luck in finding such joyous creatures!
